The Estates Department is responsible for the logistical operations management and the delivery of building services to the University’s 16 academic sites and includes facilities management, catering and commercial services, sustainability and energy management, estate management, project management, and property development. It also works with 12 Halls of residence, three of which are UAL Estates managed halls.

Tasked to manage health & safety and workplace strategy, project delivery, maintenance and employee experience for 285 properties across 68 countries, leading a Head of Health & Safety, Head of UK Facilities & Global Programme Manager. Set and deployed global standards, principles and processes whilst developing a professional network of FM operatives to deliver consistent services that also reflect local requirements and culture.

  • Supported a number of change projects -Overseen the overall maintenance of the UAL sites and FM operations with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Ensured the operational running of the campus space is effective, efficient and understood such that a healthy, safe and comfortable environment is maintained.

  • Led and developed a team of 15 to ensure management of the day-to- day FM activities. (On-site management of shift technicians, facilities assistants, coordinators, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all works performed is in accordance with UAL best practices)

  • Supported the internal systems and business processes required to build and operate a scalable services business to ensure successful delivery of projects.

  • Assisted renovation projects, including coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution within agreed budget and timelines.

  • Participated in strategic planning projects and oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.

  • Assisted UAL Facilities & Campus Managers in Estates projects to increase current campus facilities efficiency.

  • Supported all students and support functions including College Student Union, Events & Operations, LTS , IT teams and building user groups.
